HOPETOUN AVE

This 1970s home was a wonderful project to revisit, working again with clients I had first helped many years ago with a cosmetic makeover. This time, in collaboration with the architect, we were able to take the home further, building on its original good bones rather than starting from scratch. The key was opening up the dining and rear living areas to create a stronger connection with the outdoors and bring more light into the home. Warm, tactile materials including limestone and black butt timber were introduced to add depth and character, creating a relaxed, contemporary home that still feels true to its original architecture.
